As a follow-up to our previous communication on the International Day of Education 2026, which will be celebrated at UNESCO Headquarters on Friday 23 January, under the theme “The power of youth in co-creating education”, we are pleased to inform you that the registration links for the event are now available on the event webpage.
The event will be opened by UNESCO Director-General, Khaled El-Enany, and the UN Deputy Secretary-General, Amina J. Mohammed. Remarks will also be delivered by the UN Assistant Secretary-General for Youth Affairs, Felipe Paullier, the UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Education, Stefania Giannini, as well as young representatives from the SDG 4 Youth & Student Network, among others.
