Assunto: 7th World Cultural Heritage Youth Symposium 2026

Dear Colleagues,

I hope this message finds you well.

I am writing to inform you that the 7th World Cultural Heritage Youth Symposium 2026 is scheduled to take place from April 22 to April 26, 2026, in Loutraki. This edition of the symposium will focus on the theme of “Unknown Heritage,” which includes monuments and landscapes that, while not inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, hold significant importance for local communities. Further details can be found on the official website: [www.worldyouthsymposium.com].
I have received communication from the organizing committee indicating that the Hellenic National Commission for UNESCO has extended an invitation to Ms. Lydia Ruprecht to attend the symposium. Additionally, Mr. Erik Eschweiler from the UNESCO World Heritage Centre (who some of you may remember from his previous role with the ASPnet Unit) has also been invited by the organising committe ( their participation is yet to be confirmed).
It is noteworthy that in 2025, all participating schools were ASPnet schools. The topic of World Heritage is one of our network’s priorities, and both teachers and students have demonstrated a strong interest in engaging with these crucial issues. For those who have not yet participated, the World Cultural Heritage Youth Symposium represents a valuable opportunity to connect with one another.

Should you have any questions or require further clarification, please do not hesitate to reach out directly to Mr. Vasilis Papalymperis, President of the  Hellenic Cultural and Educational Club for UNESCO (vp.unescoclub@gmail.com).

Thank you for your attention, and I look forward to seeing you in April.

Best regards,

Vera Dilari
